Avicenna is seeking papers for a special issue on the Impact of Technological Advancements on Healthcare and Medical Services. Avicenna is an open-access, peer-reviewed international journal on healthcare development and innovation published by the Qatari Publisher Hamad bin Khalifa University Press. The journal is indexed in Google Scholar Web of Science "Emerging Sources Citation Index". The strategic plan aims to enhance its visibility and credibility by pursuing inclusion in other prestigious indexing platforms, such as Scopus, PubMed, and the Directory of Open Access Journals (DOAJ). Submission Guidelines:

Submissions are accepted in English language. Articles may include a maximum of 5,000 words with 20 references maximum. Quality improvement and policy implementation articles are also welcome. Authors should follow the Vancouver referencing style. All submissions will be subject to double-blind peer-review.

It welcomes submissions of original research, clinical and epidemiological studies, reviews and evaluations, guidelines, expert opinion and commentary, case reports, and extended reports addressing the region's unique healthcare delivery challenges. Avicenna research topics include health literacy and education, medical humanities, anthropology and media, public health ethics, quality, policy and practice, healthcare management, innovation and efficiency, artificial intelligence, and more.
